Calm body and mind enveloped in this new sound meditation system. Magnetic Sound™ fuses modern technology with traditional instrument design, and uses magnetic energy to create overtone-rich soundscapes.
In this event, Jonathan Bound guides us through a group session of focused breathing and encompassing vibrations.
Together, we immerse ourselves in sound waves as mantra-like resonance guides us towards deeper states of rest. This is a communal gathering encouraging reflection, contemplation, and self-healing for participants.
The group will open for dialogue and sharing after the session.
History: Founded in 2014 by creative technologist MJ Caselden, the Magnetic Sound project is a growing collection of sound-generating installations and guided listening experiences.
Integrating elements of mindful awareness with a new technology, the practice draws on harmonic frequency patterns similar to those used in spiritual sound rituals around the world for thousands of years. Bearing similarities to Om chants, Mongolian throat singing, Tibetan singing bowl meditations, or the didgeridoos of Aboriginal Australia, Magnetic Sound systems create natural resonance in a new way, facilitating meditative listening and communal gatherings in a new generation.
The project has grown to include collaboration with tech companies such as Intel, and been featured in public spaces, yoga and meditation centers, museums, hospitality spaces, and retreats across the United States and in Europe.
